The Police Service Commission and the Commissioner of Police have approved the following promotions for 2010.

Senior Superintendent David Ramnarine heads the promotions list and he is now an Assistant Commissioner.

Four Superintendents, including a woman, C. Lewis-Primo of Immigration, were promoted to Senior Superintendent.

Eleven policemen and women were promoted to Superintendent and two women and ten men were promoted to Deputy Superintendent.

Sixteen ranks were promoted to Assistant Superintendent and two policemen were promoted to Assistant Superintendent on probation.

Meanwhile, nine ranks were elevated to Chief Inspector and 30 sergeants were promoted to Inspector.
