Heading the distribution of the hampers was Commissioner of Police, Mr Henry Greene, who saw to their delivery himself to the relatives of the late Detective Lance Corporal 16987, Adrian London, and Constable 18271, Feroze Bashier.

The items were received by Mr. Pryor London, father of the late Lance Corporal Adrian London; and Ms Felicia Bashier, daughter of the late Constable Feroze Bashier.

Mr. London (Snr), who was himself a member of the Force , was attached to the Tactical Services Unit (TSU), but and quit the Service back in 1983.

Lance-Corporal London was shot and killed on D’Urban Street on July 11, 2002, while on his way home from work, while Constable Bashier was shot and killed at Buxton, on the East Coast Demerara, on August 27, 2002 while visiting a friend there.
