US$3M Gizmos and Gadgets Superstore

– to be launched today
THE Gizmos and Gadgets Superstore, which reportedly represents a US$3 million investment and which will provide employment for more than 50 persons, is scheduled to be launched to the media today.

A statement inviting the media for today’s launch, said the Superstore replaces the previous Gizmos and Gadgets location at Robb and Wellington Streets.

It is understood that the decision to expand by proprietors Ravi Mangar and Gaitri Sharma follows the high demand for the products offered by the company.

According to the press invitation, the Superstore will be introducing a new concept to Guyana where in-store prices will match those quoted on products in stores overseas. Additionally, customers will have the option of ordering online through the company.

The Superstore will also introduce new departments for customers such as Glamour, which will stock designer brand accessories such as sunglasses, watches, makeup, perfumes, and handbags; Car Audio, formerly Auto Zone; a computer equipment department; a full service centre; an expanded TV department; and the line of products such as cell phones, toys and games, all of which have made Gizmos and Gadgets the preferred choice for electronic gadgets.

With over $1 million in introductory giveaways, customers will enjoy slashed phone prices, gifts with every purchase and a free DVD player with every combined purchase of $100,000.

“Gizmos and Gadgets has built a reputation of providing reliable products at competitive rates and better warranties over its more than eight years in operation, one that will be taken to a new level with the launch of the Superstore,” the invitation stated.
