Region Two spending $84M more on Essequibo streets

THE Regional Administration in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) is spending another $84M to build and pave more streets across Essequibo Coast.

Regional Chairman, Mr. Alli Baksh told the Guyana Chronicle the money will fund such projects at Johanna Cecelia, Queesntown, Good Intent, Cullen, Charity River Dam, Golden Fleece, Bounty Hall, Sand Top-Cullen, Dartmouth and Danielstown.

He said $11.5M will be expended on Pitman and Benn Streets at Dartmouth and a further $15.5M on streets in Queenstown.

Baksh said some of the roadways will be paved and the works are to be completed before year-end.
