Local actor, Joel Fraser, who was murdered at the Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown, seawall, will be buried today.
His body will be at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) following a funeral service.
Two women who were in police custody have since been placed on bail.
The body of Fraser, called ‘Sweets’, 40, of South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was discovered last week by joggers with his throat slit and multiple stab wounds about the body.
His laptop, bag, jewels and other personal effects, including his pants, are missing.
Fraser who starred in the Maria Benschop production ‘Nothing to Laugh About’, was last seen alive at rehearsals at the National Cultural Centre (NCC).
Acting for more than ten years, he also sold vegetables at Bourda Market.
On Tuesday, friends of Fraser told the Guyana Chronicle although they know he is dead they found it strange that someone signed in on his Facebook account, and when asked who it was they logged off.
This information has since been related to the police.
