Baksh inspects projects in Public, Private sectors

REGIONAL Chairman of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh, inspected a number of projects across Essequibo Coast yesterday.

He began at Charity where he saw the Manakuru-Dredge Creek road under construction and told the Guyana Chronicle it would provide better access for farmers to transport their produce to Charity Marketing Centre.

Baksh said the new roadway will also spur more cultivation in the areas of very fertile land.

At Charity, he also observed work on the market tarmac in front of the Pomeroon Oil Mill and pointed out that, when completed in another three months, it will be occupied by vendors currently conducting business on the shoulders of the public road.

The $21M job is being done by B&J Civil Works.

Baksh also visited the site where a five-storey supermarket is being built at Charity and remarked that the massive investment, by Mr. Alfro Alphonso, demonstrates Private Sector confidence in Government’s economic policies.
