I can’t believe Kaieteur News

I hadn’t paid much attention to the Kaieteur News article regarding the issue with the security contract at President’s College; but after reading the Parrot in the Chronicle, I decided to take a look and found it rather interesting reading.

We always assume that whatever the newspapers print is credible since it is put into the public domain; however in this case, I was rather disappointed that a national newspaper would so blatantly lie to the public.

After reading the article, I found it really funny that the figures quoted by the Parrot made a lot of sense, whereas the Kaieteur News left me to wonder about the level of education and training there.

I could not believe that the Kaieteur News, which boasts of providing information to contradict whatever the Government says it’s spending on services for the nation, would print such erroneous information which clearly shows its agenda.

I am wondering just how did the KN arrive at $100 per day per guard from a $32,000 salary monthly? Perhaps the newspaper should work it out and show us in another edition.

Am I to believe then that, given the exposure of Kaieteur News’ bias and misinformation, I should not believe anything the paper ever prints?

I have always been under the impression that Parrots always have interesting things to say and now I see just how right that was. Keep on writing Parrot.
