The president and members of Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) would like to extend congratulations to Travis Dowlin on his selection to the West Indies cricket team.

Dowlin has always been a consummate professional in his approach to cricket and his commitment to the game is unquestionable, hence his selection albeit in a replacement squad, was a fine choice which already seem to paying dividends.

Although, he was five runs short of his maiden test century and one run short of his second half century in the first and second innings of the present ongoing second test, we at the GCA is confident that he will be raising his bat very shortly when he reaches that first century milestone.

Dowlin is on a journey taken by a privilege few, including the likes of Clive Lloyd, Lance Gibbs, Roger Harper, Rohan Khanai, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Sewnarine Chattergoon and we take this opportunity to wish him well on his journey and offer our full support to him in his contribution to West Indies cricket.
