An Amerindian man of Kumaka was around 21:30 hrs Wednesday found by his wife hanging at the entrance of his home.

Dead is Johnny Cream, of Six Miles Karaburi, Kumaka , North West District. The man was in his fifties.

Reports reaching Guyana Chronicle state that Mr. Cream and his daughter were involved in a heated argument after it was alleged  that she had been raped and the matter had reached the media. The man was said to be embarrassed over the situation since it is alleged that the man who committed the act is free, while another man who is said to be innocent is in the lock-ups.

It is reported that Cream and his wife had an argument during which he struck her and she left to report the matter to the Kamuka Police Station. She made the tragic discovery on her way back.

Cream was employed as a handyman at the time of his death. A source informed this newspaper that Mr. Cream was a family man, who was well-spoken of in the community, and that he loved to make jokes. He has left to mourn his wife Carmen Cream and seven children.

The matter was reported to the Kamuka Police Station, Moruca , North West District, Region one where the police are investigating.(BRANDON CABOSE)
