IT is sometimes mind boggling to understand decisions taken by the Guyana Police Force and I wonder whether the government of the day sanctioned this new decision and collaborated with the force in question on it.

I make reference to a KN report dated 6.24.09 and titled “Police prepared to charge attempted suicide victims.”

I honestly laugh out loud upon reading this news report and I always thought that the seriousness of such trend needs discussing before any execution/decisions are taken.

Is someone also telling me that the religious fraternity and Human Rights Association of Guyana have absolutely no say on this issue?
