WOULD the relevant authorities kindly look into this matter as early as possible?

The people of Good Hope Estate on the Essequibo Coast who have owned their lands for years are suffering and are being humiliated by a woman who claims she owns the lands that the Good Hope people live on. I don’t think she knows the history of Good Hope Estate.

This estate was bought by slaves and then later on given to their family.

This woman now claims she was given these lands by title owned by a Chinese gentleman name Sue. This woman doesn’t belong to Good Hope and I can’t see her claiming lands that the same, Mr. Sue, declared he is having no land in Good Hope Estate.

The woman is going around asking people to pay her for lands that don’t belong to her.

People in authority kindly look into and investigate this matter.

The RDC office, where a relative of this woman works, gives her information about Good Hope Estate lands.

When people from Good Hope go to pay their land rates they are being told not to pay and when they are not paid this woman brings a surveyor to survey the land that belongs to the people in her name, then she sells the land that don’t belong to her.

This is what is going on and it seems as if this matter would go on for years. Some people have already passed away and losing their property to this woman is causing a long going and coming to the Land Court. The people are fed up with this kind of behaviour.

Please stop this nonsense and let the people get their lands that are rightfully theirs.
