JP association very concerned with its public image

THE JP Association is very concerned with its public image and level of professionalism amongst it membership. As such, in keeping with democratic norms and transparency, the above association is opening up to constructive views, advice and criticisms by interested members of the public so as to be properly guided in its management practices and hold the expectation to develop more efficient JP/COA members to serve the public interest.

If anyone wants to make a complaint on any civic issue, warranting the intervention of a JP/COA or one that affects the community at large, he or she can write the JP Association at the following mailing address: Lot 5-6 Lombard Street, Werk–en-Rust, Georgetown.

Even if you believe that the performance of a JP/COA in your community is not in keeping with the constitutional requirements of the Commission (JP/COA), please write the association, but with proper justification.

Meanwhile, the JP association is in the process of constituting a Professional Conduct Committee within the membership so as to enhance the professionalism of the association.

Kindly let us know of persons with JP/COA status who are not serving any longer in the community where they resides or persons who may have just begun to perform JP/COA functions in the community where you live. Past NDC chairmen also functioned as ex-officio JPs.

It would be very interesting to know if they are still functioning as such or have ceased to do so. This information will assist the association to satisfy the need of regularising the placements/postings of JPs/COAs throughout the 10 administrative regions and to ensure that there is an equitable distribution of same, to which the relevant authorities can take action.

Your views and matters will be treated with the strictest confidentiality and replies sent to you in due course or same will be sent to the relevant authority or agency for the necessary attention and action.
