DEVON Limerick, who has been charged with the stabbing murder of his paramour, Beverly Mangru called Pamela, appeared at Vreed-en-Hoop Court, West Coast Demerara on Wednesday.
He was remanded to prison, by Magistrate Fazil Azeez, on the capital offence charge that said he unlawfully killed the woman on April 1 in the Lot 79 new Road house, also at Vreed-en-Hoop, where they had lived together.
The prisoner, 31, surrendered to Police, at Springlands, Corentyne, Berbice, earlier in the week after being hunted for several days after the victim’s bloodied body was discovered in their locked bottom flat residence.
During his Court appearance, the magistrate ordered that the accused be seen by a doctor after he displayed signs of suffering from anxiety and depression.
Limerick has to be back in the same Court on May 20.
