THE Government of Guyana has been transparent and accountable in all its works for the Guyanese citizens. I am a US citizen residing here in Guyana, and I am amazed to see the challenges faced by this government to enhance the quality of life for the country’s inhabitants by utilising its natural resources while neither harming nor exploiting them.

I have been living here for the past seven years and have witnessed dramatic changes in terms of development, which have boosted the various sectors, such as Education, Health, Agriculture and Tourism.

It was great to see the objectives set by this administration to enhance the education sector is finally paying off, after undertaking remedial campaigns at all levels of adult education; to assist school leavers and other adults who have not attained sufficient levels of literacy; and to reduce regional inequalities in education.

It amazes me to see that a country with little resources can rise to such development. Imagine what it could have been if the Opposition support was given to the people and the Government of Guyana.
