A MINER, 30, accused of assaulting a woman was yesterday placed on $25,000 when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.Sherwin Alicock of Lot 60 Amelia’s Ward, Linden denied the allegation that said on April 21 at Watuka River Drive, Linden he assaulted Sharon Nelson.

The prosecutor did not object to bail nor revealed the facts to the court. Nelson, who was present in court, filed for a protection order against the defendant. The matter was transferred to Linden Magistrate’s Court for April 28.
