WICB meets Minister of State over cricketing matters

PRESIDENT of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), Mr Dave Cameron yesterday paid a courtesy call to Minister of State, Mr Joseph Harmon, at the Ministry of the Presidency.Mr Cameron was accompanied by Secretary of the Guyana Cricket Board and Director of the WICB, Mr Anand Sanasie, with the trio discussing matters related to the functioning of the WICB.
Minister Harmon also enquired about preparations for the Tri-Nation Series that will be held in Guyana on June 3, 5 and 7 at the Guyana National Stadium to which Mr Sanasie disclosed that approval has been granted for Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary Logo to be placed on the field of play.
The Logo will be visible during the broadcast of the three ODI Tri-nation matches, commencing tomorrow.
The West Indies, South Africa and Australia cricket teams have already arrived in Guyana.
