THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Wednesday issued a wanted bulletin for Anthony Jhaggroo for questioning in relation to escape from lawful custody and alleged murder committed on Yugeshwar Shiwcharan on July 10, at Belle West Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara.Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Anthony Jhaggroo is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 225-8196, 268-2343, 268-2298, 268-2222, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence.

Jhaggroo is fair-skinned in complexion, thin-boned and is of East Indian descent. He was born on 1996-03-17 and his last known address was given as Lot 35, Good Intent, West Bank Demerara.

The victim, a mechanic died after a savage beating close to his home. He was the father of two. Shiwcharan, 31, called “Sharukh Khan”, of Lot 485, Belle West Housing Scheme, WBD was allegedly beaten by a neighbour on July 4, 2016.

Reports indicated that Shiwcharan suffered from seizures and following an attack, he became delirious and entered the yard of his neighbour. His brother, Maheshpaul told this newspaper that Shiwcharan “trip out” and was beaten about his body by two young ladies and their brother after he entered their yard.

He succumbed to severe head injuries six days while hospitalized. The women were released from police custody and the man was arrested. He however escaped from the lock-ups on July 12, 2016 from the La Grange Police Station.n A search was launched for the prisoner but to date he remains at large.
