TWENTY-Five year-old Dominican international Julian Wade has returned to Guyana to help boost his club Slingerz FC’s chances of coming out on top in the STAG Elite League. Wade, the former Caledonia AIA forward, had played last season with the Vergenoegen-based club but departed Guyana for England on a ‘tryout’.
However, after being successful, his failure to obtain a work permit now sees him returning to Guyana to torment opponents in the STAG Elite League.
Wade said that he’s happy to be back where he calls home, to help Slingerz FC not only to improve in their performance, but also to climb to the top of the league.
The club who many believe are the best assembled in the league are struggling to find the net.
Sitting fourth in the points standing behind Fruta Conquerors, Pele and Alpha United, Slingerz FC will be looking to come away with three points when they come up against Buxton United on Saturday at the No.5 ground, West Coast Berbice.
