TWENTY employees of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) have successfully completed a 2-day training programme on requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and its implementation.A release from the GPHC said the training, which was facilitated by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS), was geared towards enhancing employees’ understanding of what is a QMS,
and how it can be used to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of the Organisation.
The training targeted senior quality-assurance personnel, managers and other staff involved in developing the QMS. The facilitators for the training were GNBS Technical Officer 2 Ms. Rodly Semple, and GNBS Technical Officer 1 Ms. Charissa Wilson.
