ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC) – Three uncapped players have been named on a squad of West Indies women cricketers to attend a training camp from today ahead of the home series against New Zealand Women.
The uncapped players are Shamilia Connell, Hayley Matthew and Jodian Morgan who will train with the squad until September 8 in Barbados and St Kitts.
Connell is a quick bowler from Barbados; Matthew also plays for Barbados as an off-spinning all-rounder and specialist bat Morgan plays for Jamaica.
West Indies and New Zealand women will play One-Day Internationals – the first three of which count as part of the ICC Women’s Championship – on September 12, 14, 17 and 19.
Three Twenty20 Internationals will be played on September 23, 25 and 27.
