Think well and act responsibly

OVER the past five weeks, I have had to battle simultaneously with advanced attacks of diabetes, malfunctioned kidney, high blood pressure, suspicious brain damage, all of which was precipitated by a mini stroke, necessitating hospitalisation for fourteen agonising nights.

My last two commentaries reflected deficiencies imposed by my health condition. I am now a committed dialysis patient.

Precious life goes on and my country is now faced with General and Regional elections early in the new year 2015. This election may prove to be the mother of all elections. It is the most important election of all time. The decision is ours to make. Do we move forward with sensible programmes for real development or are we prepared to continue with meaningless dialogue as has been sadly experienced since 2011?

We have experienced the absolute absurdity of having to contend with a collection of fellow Guyanese who are bent in the destruction of the economy and social justice. It is some divine providence that we have been given the chance to correct the effects of a minority government.
Will we act responsibly? Will we be proud of our efforts? It is for us to decide. Think well.
