CITY Magistrate, Alex Moore on Wednesday remanded a construction worker for the offence of simple larceny.Nineteen-year-old Floyd Haynes of Ketley Street, Charlestown, denied the charge which stated that between March 4 and March 5, 2016 he stole a quantity of items, including an Apple laptop and two Samsung cell phones, amounting to a total value of $396,000, property of James Cole.

The prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that Haynes is wanted by the police in connection with other matters of similar nature and that police had a difficult time in finding the defendant.

He is scheduled to reappear in court on July 19.
