Teenager charged with armed robbery

NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD pork-knocker Isaiah Daniels was on Friday remanded to prison after he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan charged with robbery under arms.Daniels of Retrieve, Linden, pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on July 24 at McKenzie, Linden, while being armed with an ice-pick, he robbed Shamar Savory of an electronic tablet valued $55,000.
Police Prosecutor Corporal Deniro Jones objected to bail because of the gravity and prevalence of the offence. According to the prosecutor, the accused was positively identified by the victim and an eye-witness to the crime, during an identification parade.
