TEAM Best Guy Guyana is raring for action when the Final leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships (CMRC) gets going in Guyana next weekend. The team includes Chet Civic and Raj Singh with their Honda Civic at Group Two level along with Shawn Lake’s Honda Integra while Ritchie Singh’s Civic has to battle in the Group 3 class.
The team representative and Group 2 driver Chet Singh said, “Even though Guyana are third in points, we are not taking it lying down. We in Guyana are ready for the challenge.”
Speaking on personal preparation, Singh said that there were a few kinks to iron out.
“I will be done by now and this weekend; we did testing already on my car last week and it feels okay, we just need to go the extra mile to match the foreign competition,” said the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club’s (GMR&SC) committee member.
He continued, “Group 2 is on the rise and in my opinion Group 2 is likely to take the entire pull of motor racing from Group Four because that is where the competition is right now.”
As it stands, Guyana are third in the Country Championships with 511 points, behind third-leg hosts Barbados (533) and second-round hosts Trinidad and Tobago (658) with the final leg set for the South Dakota Circuit
