According to reports, the object, which was washed ashore by Tuesday afternoon’s tide, has attracted quite a large following, with many surmising that it may very well be part of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane that disappeared more than a month ago while en route to China.

Chairman of the Region, Mr. Parmanand Persaud, who inspected the find Wednesday morning, said it looks like part of a plane, but cannot make any pronouncement on it as yet.
Reports are that several officers of the Guyana Coast Guard also visited the area and inspected the strange-looking object. (Rajendra Prabhulall in Essequibo)
