ACCUSED Rene Gordon appeared at the Demerara Assizes yesterday and pleaded not guilty to a three-count indictment allegedly committed on his 10-year old stepdaughter.The allegations are that the accused committed the first act of sexual penetration when the girl was 12 years old; that the second act was committed sometime in July 2010, when the accused tried to put his tongue in the mouth of the 10-year old girl; and that the third count was committed on June 12, 2012 when the accused was said to have touched the breast and buttocks of his stepdaughter.
Prosecutrix Miss Orienthia Schmidt is conducting the case for the prosecution while Mr. Satesh Kissoon is defending.
The case continues today before Justice Roxane George and a mixed jury.
