South Ruimveldt, Bishops’ High score wins in Milo U-20 football

SOUTH Ruimveldt Secondary School and Bishops’ High School were in winners’ row yesterday with commanding victories over their opponents when the Milo Under-20 Schools Football Tournament continued at the Ministry of Education Ground.Bishops’ High sank School of the Nations 5 – 1 in a team oriented effort on a rainy, overcast day for action. However, it was Nations who actually scored first after 20 minutes of tussling in the centre on a slippery turf.
Raymond Perez’s first blood strike was answered four minutes later when Kofi Victorine equalized. In the 28th minute the eventual victors gained the lead through a Shemar Britton strike then made it a two-possession difference when Joel Morrison found the back of the net in the 30th.
Nations seemed to have no clue as Bishops’ High continued to add goals. Mark John marked his named in the 32nd before Lemar Williams (35th) struck on the brink of half-time.

In the match that followed South Ruimveldt disposed of Central High 4 – 0. Junior Thomas gave his side the upper hand in the 24th while Leon Charles added another in the 34th so his side could operate with a bit more comfort.
Adrian Aaron (55th) and Cecil Jackman (60th) accounted for the second half goals which put the win beyond doubt.
Meanwhile, Christ Church and Richard Ishmael contested the day’s opening match which ended in a nil all stalemate while Carmel Secondary claimed a walkover victory from Sir Leon’s Lessons.
