MEMBERS of the State Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) met Monday with Minister of State, Joseph Harmon and brought him up to speed on whatever matters are currently engaging the Unit’s attention.According to a release from the minister’s office, the two sides discussed the various challenges the Unit would have encountered; whatever progress it has made thus far; and together devised a number of plans and strategies for the way forward.
Head of SARU, Professor Clive Thomas also advised the minister on the progress made as it relates to the laying of the State Asset Recovery Agency Bill 2016 in the National Assembly.
“The members of the Unit pledged their support and commitment towards achieving the Unit’s mandate,” the release noted.
Minister Harmon reminded the members of their tasks and responsibilities, and urged all to stay focused.
