USUALLY reliable sources attached to the Guyana Prison Service have confirmed that a prisoner escaped from the Timehri Prison yesterday. The Guyana Chronicle was, up to press time, unable to confirm how the man managed to flee the holding facility.

Efforts to ascertain what the man was incarcerated for were unsuccessful. However, this newspaper was able to confirm that the escape took place at approximately 15.30hrs.
