President meets Army, Police Heads on crime situation

PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar yesterday met with Chief-of-Staff of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Brigadier Mark Phillips, and Commissioner (ag) of the Guyana Police Force, Mr Seelall Persaud at the Office of the President.

Together they discussed the current state of affairs with regards to crime, in the hope of getting on top of the situation.
Also present at the meet was Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr Roger Luncheon, in his capacity as Secretary to the Defence Board.
