NEW franchise holder of the Bartica Regatta Mr. Budhesh Chatterpaul, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of AJ’S Promotion, said that preparations for this year’s Easter Regatta are moving apace.He told this publication that the 2015 programme is a packed, fun-filled one for the entire family and they will have a series of activities.

Chatterpaul said that this year they will have a children’s corner featuring mascots, bouncy castles, trampolines and much more especially for children’s entertainment.

The adults will participate in the regatta proper and the power boat events will be a one-day event this year, Chatterpaul added.

The one-day power boat races, slated for April 5, will feature Dave Scott, José Jardine, Selwyn Joseph, Dave Young, Neil Gonsalves, the Belle brothers, and a team from the Pomeroon and Lanaballi.

Chatterpaul noted that there will be a chutney/soca concert featuring international and
local artistes billed for April 6, 2015, but the names of the artistes will be announced later.

He further stated that talks are in the pipeline for 20/20 cricket, but this event is yet to be confirmed and the official launching of this year’s event will take place shortly.
