THE police yesterday afternoon released an image of a man who is wanted for the gruesome murder of 76-year-old Carmen Ganesh in a house at Lot 121 Montrose, East Coast Demerara where she was the caretaker for several years.According to a police press release, the man is a suspect in the murder of the woman, whose body was found sprawled on her kitchen floor on Saturday after persons reported that they had not seen her for most of the morning, which was very unusual.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the man is asked to telephone the police on numbers 225-6411, 225-8196, 225-2227, 229-2557, 229-2702, 911 or the nearest police station. Police assured that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Meanwhile another man who is in custody was identified as the neighbour of the woman’s daughter.
The man is apparently cooperating with the ranks but police sources have disclosed that he has denied any knowledge of the woman’s death.
The man and the murdered woman had a court case where he was ordered to compensate her for the damage to her fence.
