POLICE during a drug eradication exercise on Saturday destroyed a field with marijuana plants at Essequibo.According to a police release, during the operation at Onderneeming Backdam, Essequibo, a field of approximately 500 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants, about 3 feet in height, was found and destroyed.

No arrest was made.
