Commander of ‘E’ Division Calvin Brutus yesterday told this publication that following the Richard Remington, 44, of Christainburg, Wismar, murder they have arrested a member of the gang he was a part of and it is just a matter of time before they net the entire group.

The Senior Superintendent said that Remington was part of the gang which had carried out armed robberies on a Toshao and others at Micobie among other robberies and the proceeds from that loot was not equally divided.
As such he was executed by rogue gang members, who feel cheated.
Brutus said members of the gang are known to police but they are based in several areas including Aranka and Itaballi but it is just a matter of time before they are apprehended.
The partly decomposing body of Remington was found on February 12, 2015 in a clump of bushes alongside a track in the vicinity of Matthews Lane in the Christianburg/ Cholmondeley Hill area, in Wismar, Linden.
His body bore gunshot wounds to the head and at the side of the forehead and another to the lower jaw.

The body was reportedly discovered by a resident who was attracted by the stench emanating from it.
Other residents claimed that they had become aware of the smell over the past few days, but thought that it might have been a dead animal.
