NSBF Games continue following successful first weekend

THE Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) National Schools Basketball Festival (NSBF) continues today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.The festival saw a successful opening ceremony last weekend with exciting action and intense rivalries formed.
This week, fans look to see more of the same with today featuring three games – two in the U-19 category and one U-16 game.
In the U-16 matchup, Saints will take on Marian Academy at 16:00hrs while the U-19 games will start at 17:00hrs with Linden Technical Institute taking on J.C Chandisingh.
The final game of the night will see Georgetown Technical Institute come up against Plaisance Secondary, who recorded a blowout win last weekend in an U-19 matchup.
Tomorrow there will be four games – one U-16 game and three U-19 games. In the first game of the day, Tutorial High will face Kwakwani Secondary in the U-16 category at 16:00hrs. The Kwakwani side, under coach Ann Gordon, will be looking to follow up the big win the U-14 had last weekend in the U-19 category,
Mackenzie will take on Berbice at 17:00hrs. The third game of the day is perhaps the most anticipated, with Saints looking to take out perennial powerhouse New Amsterdam Multilateral Secondary, led by Centrobasket coach Willon Cameron at 18:00hrs. The final game of the day will feature St Rose’s versus Queen’s College at 19:00hrs.
