MAGISTRATE Fabayo Azore yesterday granted bail to a 35-year-old coal miner who appeared before her charged with simple larceny.Carl Roberts is accused of stealing a leaf blower, two brush cutters and spray paint cans to a total of $557,000 property of Narine’s Company on October 12 at Kuruni, Linden Highway. To the charge Roberts pleaded not guilty.
Police Prosecutor Simone Payne did not object to the man being granted his pre-trial liberty. As such Roberts was released on bail and is scheduled to return to court on December 7 before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
