POLICE yesterday said that no arrests have yet been made in the murder of Leopold Street resident, Deon Macey, but they are continuing the probe.Macey, who did odd jobs around the neighbourhood, was stabbed several times in the chest and stomach by a group of men during an argument on Wednesday morning.

The 51-year-old occupied a small shack at Lot 67-68 Leopold Street, Werk-en-Rust property, which boasts a large house that is subdivided into several apartments.

The tenants of those apartments all said they did not hear anything as to indicate that the murder was as a result of an altercation.
Macey’s bloodied body was found in a sitting position in his modest apartment, the walls and ground of which were spotted in places with blood.
The police were summoned after calls to him went unanswered.
Macey was last seen alive at around 02:00hrs when he mentioned to no-one in particular as he was leaving the yard in which he lived that he was “going on a fine hustle.”
