Mining company donates computer to suicide helpline agency

THE operations of the Inter-Agency Suicide Prevention Helpline which was launched by the Guyana Police Force on August 6, 2015, was yesterday further enhanced by the donation of a complete desktop computer by management of the Innovative Mining Company of Garnett Street, Campbellville, Georgetown.
The Inter-Agency Suicide Prevention Helpline is based at Police Headquarters, Eve Leary, and is in operation on a 24-hour basis.

It is an avenue through which depressed persons or their relatives or friends, can call so that the affected person may receive psychological assistance by way of counselling.
