OVERSEAS-based Guyanese Calvin Ming will sport a new Suzuki SR3 Radical next weekend at the Barbados Festival of Speed.Ming, the son of local businessman Stanley Ming, had ordered a newer, more updated model of the Radicals for competition, with the car landing yesterday in Barbados.
The younger Ming is excited over the new venture and will begin prepping on Monday with the aim to begin testing next Tuesday ahead of Saturday and Sunday’s event.
According to a correspondence, this car puts Calvin on equal terms with those in Barbados which will make for more competition come May 7-8 at the Bushy Park raceway.
Meanwhile an email from the Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc. (BPMSI) has indicated that Lewis Hamilton will have his Petronas AMG Mercedes W04 Formula One car on show on the Sunday of the event.
Hamilton will take on challenges from former British Superbike champion Tommy Hill and island rallying legend Roger Skeete.
