Guyana’s Calvin Ming closed off the inaugural round of the NACAM Formula 4 Championship last weekend in Mexico City with a podium finish in race 1.Driving from P6 in the first race of the day at the famous Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the Guyanese masterfully worked his way through the rank to finish third while his Racing Ram team mate Axel Matus finished first.
Race two which featured a reverse grid on Saturday morning had Calvin starting in P6 and finished in P8, while his teammate Axel finished in P1.
In the third race of the weekend during Saturday afternoon, the grid positions were determined by the second fastest lap times during qualifying, which saw Calvin starting in
P3. The race was very close right down to the finish line and Calvin finished in P4.
Each race was run for 25 minutes plus 1 lap on the 4 km long circuit.(Stephan Sookram)
