A MAN was on Wednesday morning killed when his car collided with a truck on the East Bank Demerara Public Road. Police said that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred about 05:30h on the Supply Public Road, EBD, and which resulted in the death of Quilton Greene, 45 years, of La Penitence, Georgetown.
Investigations revealed that Greene was driving a motor car along the east bank roadway when he collided with a motor lorry that was travelling in the opposite direction. He received injuries and was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
