Man found hiding under bed facing cocaine trafficking charge

A LABOURER was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on a drug trafficking charge.Neaz Osmon, 27, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on April 3 at Cross Street, Albouystown he had in his possession 3 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Police Prosecutor Gonsalvas told the court that police acting on information went to the apartment where the defendant was staying in Cross Street and conducted a search.
Gonsalvas explained that the defendant was found hiding under the bed and a search was conducted and the illicit drug was found in his pants pocket. He was arrested and charged for the offence.
Osmon was remanded to prison until April 30 when he will appear before Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
