A RESIDENT of Lot 46 Silver City, Wismar, Linden, was on Friday placed on $15,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, after he was charged for assaulting a woman.Alexander Munroe pleaded not guilty to the charge that said on March 26 at Silver City, Wismar, Linden, he unlawfully assaulted Anita Narine.

The prosecution stated that Narine went to bathe outside of her home and on her way back she was confronted by Munroe. The court heard that Monroe lifted the woman off the ground, and dealt her a series of slaps before he released her.
She reportedly ran to the kitchen, armed herself with a knife and tried to stab him but he escaped. The matter was reported and after he was arrested, he allegedly admitted committing the offence .
The matter was transferred to the Linden Court for today.
