Kaashi  Dhaam

In the sun rayed morning as I pass

I see signs smoke
I know another has left.
I am sad.

Sometimes no smoke I see
I know none has gone.

I am happy.

And I know
One day I will visit the site
And I will leave temporary signs
In ashes
And this humbles me to see
My mortal self, destined to die.

And now I boast not in pride
Of who I am, or what I have;
I bow my head in reverence
To Kaashi Dhaam
The best of Gurus, I have known.
