Justice Navindra Singh donates resource books to the GPF

JUSTICE Navindra Singh recently donated to the Guyana Police Force more than a dozen books focusing on crime- scene investigations and the presentation of evidence in court.
The donation included recently published books.On hand to receive the donation was Commissioner of Police Seelall Persaud. The handing- over ceremony took place in the Commissioner’s Conference Room, Police Headquarters, Eve Leary, and was attended by senior officers of the Force’s Performance Group.

In brief remarks, Justice Singh commended the work of the GPF, and said he was pleased to do his part in support of the Police Force in carrying out its mandate.

This, he said, was in recognition of the need for capacity- building in the force in relation to resources for the improvement of investigative skills and ability.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Senior Superintendent Wendell Blanhum, expressed, on behalf of the Guyana Police Force, gratitude to Justice Navindra Singh for his continuous assistance to the Force, and indicated that the books will be used as reference literature.

Justice Navindra Singh has been playing a significant role in support of the Force, with the training of ranks of the Criminal Investigation Department and those prosecuting in the courts. (Michel Outridge)
