Jamaica open defence of Caribbean Cup against Suriname on October 5

Jamaica will play Suriname on Wednesday, October 5, at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Kingston as it begins the defence of the Caribbean Cup. Match time is 20.00hrs.Suriname emerged as the fourth best runner-up from Round 2 of the qualifiers that began in March.
In this, the third round of the competition, Jamaica will play Suriname and Guyana in Group 1. Following the opening match, Jamaica will depart on October 9 for Guyana, who will host them at the National Stadium in Providence on October 11.
Group 2 action will see Haiti play French Guiana and St Kitts and Nevis while in Puerto Rico. Antigua and Barbuda and Curacao will play in Group 3. Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic and Martinique will play in Group 4.
The four group winners will qualify for the Caribbean Cup to be played in June 2.
