VICE-PRESIDENT of the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA), Ricky Deonarain has confirmed yesterday that the sixth annual Guyana Softball Cup will be staged here from November 4 to 6.The three-day event is the largest softball event locally, and will once again attract the best softball teams, both locally and overseas.
As was the case over the years, the event will be competed in Open and Masters categories.
Approximately 24 teams from Guyana and North America are expected to participate in the tournament.
Deonarine indicated that all plans are currently being looked at in order for another successful and fun fill tournament.
Regal XI and Regal Masters are the reigning champions of the Open and Masters categories respectively.
The tournament will be officially launched on Tuesday at the Demerara Cricket Club pavilion.
