A GUNMAN was on Saturday caught after police in ‘C’ Division responded quickly to an armed robbery committed on Bibi Deonarine of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara.Police said that at about 13:30hrs ranks of a mobile patrol responded to a report of the robbery and arrested the suspect who was attempting to escape on a bicycle.

An unlicensed Glock 9mm. pistol with 11 rounds was found in his possession, along with the stolen articles comprising a handbag, spectacles and cash.

The suspect is in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
