Gem Sanford-Johnson is new Bar Association President

THE GUYANA BAR Association (GBA) held its Annual General Meeting last Friday night and a new Executive Council was elected for the fiscal year 2016/2017.Attorney-at-Law Gem Sanford-Johnson has been elected new president of the GBA. Other members of the Executive are Vice Presidents Sadie Amin and Mohamed Ali; Secretary Excellence Dazzell; Assistant Secretary Telisha Williams, and Treasurer Mohamed Ali.

Committee members are Alaira Murphy, Randalyn Rowe, Jermaine Jarvis, Blenden Brasford, Teni Housty and Trevon Humphrey.

The new GBA President and her team are likely to meet shortly to discuss plans for the future.
