FORMER City Councillor Elaine Bristol-Edwards, who served the City Council in 2006, died last Thursday at the age of 81. A former employee of the Ministry of Labour, who retired in 1990, the mother of two served the Council up to the point of Local Government Elections in March 2016. She will be buried today.
Georgetown Mayor Patricia Chase-Green made the announcement at Monday’s statutory meeting of the Council.
Everyone stood for a moment of silence in honour of the Good and Green Guyana (GGG) Councillor, as was requested by Chase-Green.
Her daughter, Diane Bristol, told the Chronicle that her mother’s body can be viewed at Merriman’s Funeral Home from 12:30 hrs to 13:30 hrs, before it is taken to the Brickdam Cathedral for funeral service before burial.
